Seedlings Art No. 1

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Sporadically, I’ll be sharing a piece of free printable artwork. Most of our free downloads are available for subscribers to our email list, but these will be available to the whole community. YAY! This first piece of artwork is a recent favorite I designed, inspired by both my son as well as the cross-country move of a friend our community.

Before my son was born, we found a large scale Hobby Lobby print of Joshua 1:9. It immediately seemed perfect for my son’s room, and we hung it above his changing table. Each night that I’d rock him before bed, I’d see that verse hanging on his wall, and soon it became a melody in my head. I began to sing it to him, night after night. One of my prayers for my son is that he becomes a man surrendered to the Lord, strong and courageous to follow Christ anywhere He leads.

When it came time for my friend to move across the country, this verse came to mind. I sing it nearly every day with my now-toddler, who requests it now as a regular naptime song. My friend is embarking on quite the adventure, and I pray this verse comforts her as she leaves friends and family behind and sets out on a new journey that the Lord has laid before her.

Whether you use this verse to gift to a friend for encouragement, or print to hang in your child’s room, my hope is that this verse will uplift and encourage hearts as we meditate together on the truth of God’s Word.

Directions for Printing

To download, simply click on the image below. You’ll be able to download a file of the 5×7 art print, formatted for printing on regular 8.5×11 paper. Simply print the file, and trim just inside the dotted lines. I like to use a paper cutter to get my lines nice and straight. If you do not own a paper cutter, you can generally find one at your local library or at a printing shop like FedEx Office. We recommend printing on cardstock for the nearest to professional quality finish. Enjoy!
