The Seedlings Homeschool Planner

One of the things I’m working on improving for our next school year is my lesson planning system. This year my planning sessions have felt a little too tedious for my liking. I’ve been working from multiple files/websites (Alveary and Ambleside) on my computer and typing them into a word document (on a weekly basis). This spring I’ve seen a couple of handwritten homeschool planners, and I decided that would be a good switch for me. To that end, I created our very own Seedlings Homeschool Planner (and a coordinating Seedlings Student Planner)!

I created the Seedlings Homeschool Planner as a place to organize and document our school year. It will help me keep on track with our lessons, and will also serve as documentation for our homeschool year if we should ever be audited. The planner will include a place for the following:

• Attendance Days
• Curriculum Overview
• Monthly Calendar Overview
• Weekly Lesson Planning
• Book Lists
• Field Trips
• Miscellaneous Notes

I’m hopeful that this printable planner will make my planning time a little less tedious, and will be one-less computer session for my week. I’m imagining a cup of coffee, spreading out my printed Ambleside curriculum schedule on my couch, and hand-writing a few shorthand notes (always in pencil, because life happens) in my Seedlings Homeschool Planner to guide our week.

tips for printing & Prep

• Print file double-sided to ensure the weekly pages line up correctly.
• This planner is beautifully colored to maximize planning session joy. If your budget allows, print in color on a premium printer paper like this one!
• Consider laminating the front/back for added durability throughout the school year.
• For binding, consider a coil binding. Another option would be a three-ring binder!
